As part of the College STEM week, our year 4 students visited Luqa Primary and took part in various Science Activities organised by the year 3 classes at Luqa primary. A big thank you to the staff and pupils at Luqa Primary for organising this wonderful learning experience.

Fis-27 t’April, waqt il-Library Week, it-tfal u l-edukaturi kollha waqfu għal 15-il minuta mill-attivitajiet li kienu qed jagħmlu u qabdu ktieb u bdew jaqraw. Din l-attivita’ msejħa Drop everything & read, tfakkar lit-tfal u l-adulti l-importanza tal-qari f’ħajjitna. Nissuġerulkom li tippruvawha d-dar ukoll.

Bejn l-24 t’April u t-28 t’April, fl-iskola ċċelebrajna Library Week – ġimgħa ddedikata lill-kotba u l-libreriji. Fost il-ħafna attivitajiet ma nistgħux ma nsemmux s-sessjoni, Meet the Author – fejn tfal mill-ewwel, it-tieni u t-tielet sena ltaqgħu mal-awtriċi Marisa Ben Hadj Khalifa li kellmet lit-tfal dwar l-esperjenza tagħha bħala awtriċi. It-tfal kienu mimlijin entużjażmu u kurżita’ u staqsew ħafna mistoqsijiet interessanti lil Marisa. Żgur li tgħallmu ħafna minn din l-esperjenza.
Saru ukoll s-sessjonijiet tal-qari li tmexxew minn Ms Nadia Zammit HOD Literacy u Ms Ritianne Giordmaina.
L-istudenti kollha mit-3 sena sas-6 sena kellhom l-opportunita li jsegwu reċta dwar is-sbuħija tal-kotba bl-isem : The Big Adventure Book.

As part of our ongoing effort to encourage reading each class, from kindergarten up to year 6, were given a set of new books to add to the existing library in each classroom. Some of these books were sponsored by parents. The photo shows year 6 teachers with the donated books.

As part of the SIC STEM week, our year 5 classes took part in an online quiz with other year 5 classes in our college. The quiz was created and organised by Mr Vincent Caruana Gauci and the team of Science teachers at Handaq Middle School. This was a wonderful learning experience and a fun way to revise the topic of Living Things. The friendly competition added an exciting edge to the event.

As part of the SIC STEM week, year 4 students presented their Science projects to a panel of judges and their year 4 friends. the creativity was evident all around. Well done to all the students who participated.
